Oasis is a lovely country house in the midst of nature.
I must have been about 12 when I first saw it; somewhat haggard and yearning for some love and attention, but surrounded by overwhelming nature and of a beauty that is as rare as it is tranquil. It was my grandmother's house.
My grandmother was a woman ahead of her time. A visionary. And she has bought a beautiful country house that fully supports her vision. Regardless of the content of her vision, Oasis stands for standing up for what you believe in, as she has done admirably.
With much love, the 3 generations after her have made of it what I have seen in it from my childhood. What it deserves.
Now we also want to offer others a literal place to stand up for their vision. A place where you can contribute to a better world in your own way.
THE JOURNEY WE'VE TAKEN:
Inside you could literally feel the wind. The old panes were so thin that a bird once flew through them on a misjudged dive. The interior doors have given many a headache because they were lower than expected, and they didn't close for a long time. Walls and floors were crooked and threatened by moisture; in short: Lots of charm, but virtually no comfort. It was time for an update. Partly due to the worldwide epidemic, it was a long-term refurbishment. Slowly but surely we are starting to get to a point where we can look at the end result with satisfaction. We didn't take this long for nothing. Every decision is considered, with respect for nature, the best materials and with the intention of creating a home that will be a refuge for generations to come, amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Like a soft warm coat that protects against the cold.
